Uma vez, li num site, Roger Waters dizer que ele foi o único bom letrista do Pink Floyd. Segundo Waters, Nick Mason nunca conseguiu escrever uma letra musical; o que David Gilmour escreve, nada tem demais e as letras de Richard Wright eram horríveis.  Mr. Waters, o senhor, de fato, foi o melhor letrista do grupo, mas Gilmour e Wright têm talento também para tal empreitada.
